Hey y’all! My name is Keaton Judy, and I’m the newest addition to the Keynote team! I’m so thrilled to be coming on and to serve Keynote clients. I’ve had a love for music since my childhood, listening to everything from the classic rock that my parents loved to the pop, punk, and hip-hop music that my siblings listened to. Once I had the chance to start playing music, I fell even more in love with it and knew that I wanted to pursue a career where I could use music to help other people and have a meaningful impact in their lives. The joy of being able to help other people through the therapeutic power of music continues to be one of my biggest passions, and I am so excited to share that passion with Keynote clients!
I received my Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Therapy from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA, and I completed my clinical internship at Lifeworks Services here in the Twin Cities. My clinical experiences have allowed me to work with a variety of clients, across the spectrum of age and ability, and it has been an absolute blast to learn from each of the amazing individuals that I’ve worked with. I’ve had the opportunities to work with adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, older adults with dementia, and individuals on hospice.
I love being a music therapist because I get to utilize the therapeutic power of music with clients, but I also have a passion for performing and recording music outside of clinical work as well! I’ve been playing instruments since I was about 10 years old, and it’s one of my favorite things in the world! I started my musical journey on the saxophone, and have picked up so many more along the way. I’ve played in school concert bands and jazz bands from middle school through college, and I’ve been a part of several bands outside of school and have played at notable venues including the Dakota Jazz Club and the Main Room at First Avenue!
I am so excited to join the Keynote team, and am looking forward to using my music therapy experience to serve clients and help them achieve their goals to live their best possible lives!
Keaton will be joining our mission to support individuals and their families throughout the Twin Cities metro.
